A Brief History... With More To Come
WORD Fellowship’s creation resonates strongly with a simple, yet profoundly meaningful Proverb, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). King Solomon’s words point to a relationship between life and, as the giver of life, God’s prophetic vision and direction over it. Indeed, WORD Fellowship’s formation – it’s very life – required an enormous act of collective faith and trust in our Heavenly Father’s leading, particularly as we began (and continue today) without any means of external support (financial or otherwise) from any sponsoring church, organization, or denominational body. God blessed these acts of faith, and over the 10+ years since our formation, God has remained faithful to sustain us through a number of difficult times – like the earthly death of our founding pastor, Pastor John Hitechew, through COVID, and most recently through Hurricane Helene. Most importantly, God has prospered WORD Fellowship! We remain diligent to rely upon His revelations for life and direction.
